The Total Escape Band loves what they do and especially getting the crowd
involved and participating with them. You can always count on a good time
partying with them! The band has five main band members
and performs with many other musicians.

Ted Kerns started playing the drums as a child and really keeps the solid groove. He has a magnetic personality and people love to be around him. He takes the music serious, and it is his focus in life. He always says "It's just a song."

Cindy Kerns started singing with her daddy, Herbert Struck (a fiddle player) and his band, back in grade school. Inspired by singers such as Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline and encouraged by her daddy, Cindy won 'Entertainer of the Year' and 'Female Vocalist of the Year' of the Country Music Association in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Cindy met Merle Haggard in 1988 and had the honor of talking with him and getting advice from him about the music life. He changed her outlook on things about just "singing" or "ENTERTAINING". She made a record and has kept growing through the years.

Connie Burton, (also known as "Clam Digger") has been with the band (off and on) for 14 years. She plays guitar, bass, dobro, and steel guitar, and is back currently playing full time! She has the country inspiration that changed the
Total Escape band to the sound it has today. She loves being on the river, fishing, shrimping, and clamming when she
isn't playing music. When you see her play, you can see she loves what she does!

Jeff France joined the band 9 years ago. He also plays guitar and bass. His hobbies include whiskey, sex, and poker. He actually was a guitarist when he came along, and filled in on the bass, and played that for years, till the past two years. Now they add a nice flavor of mix when Connie and Jeff switch back and forth.

Wanda Davis has been with the band since 1990. She plays keyboards and sings. Her harmony will give you goose bumps! She had played with several bands in Orlando before hooking up with us. She is full of energy and always has a smile and you can feel the love when she is around.
